Hurley'd had a weird set of days since he'd last sat down to write a letter to Hoshi. But today, it seemed like the right thing to do.

Hurley had grabbed a notepad out of the plane wreckage, and got a pen from the Boone guy (he had like six of them for some weird reason), and had sat down that night to try and write a letter. It was a little tricky with just the campfire light, but he did it just the same.

Hurley had made a lot of progress in the two weeks since his mom had him committed to Santa Rosa Mental Health Hospital. For one thing, he was talking again, after being in what the doctors called a 'near catatonic state' since he'd sent that e-mail back to Fandom. And with that progress, came rewards. Hurley was definitely having a blast. It had been two years since he'd been in Santa Monica, but it was almost like he'd never been gone. And a big graduation party was exactly the sort of way he wanted to meet all his old friends.
